As OneSchool Global’s network continues to grow, &UP has been entrusted with the design of its 16th school. As a global network of independent schools, OneSchool’s distinctive approach to education places independence, collaboration and adaptability at the heart of learning, preparing students with the skills and confidence for life beyond the classroom. The new campus translates these principles into a considered environment designed to support students and teachers for generations to come.
Learning Through Independence
The design supports OneSchool Global’s independent learning model, creating environments that encourage students to take greater ownership of their education as they progress through the years
A combination of collaborative learning areas, flexible teaching spaces and quieter environments allows students to move between group work, independent study and focused learning. Specialist facilities including maker spaces, science laboratories, food technology and art rooms extend learning beyond the traditional classroom and encourage practical, hands-on exploration.
Built to Last
With OneSchool Global operating across a diverse range of locations, the design balances a recognisable global identity with a response to the character of its individual setting. The OSG brand is echoed throughout the project, while the design details give the campus its own local identity. Hardwearing finishes, including Dirt Capture System carpets selected to help maintain indoor air quality, have been chosen for durability and longevity, ensuring the school can meet the demands of daily use for years to come.
From site planning and logistics, through to the planning application and detailed design of the new-build campus, the project brings together education, community and longevity. The result is a flexible learning environment designed not simply for today's students, but to support the generations that follow.
A Campus Built Around Community
A strong sense of community is central to the campus, with spaces designed to bring students and staff together throughout the day. The wider site brings together play areas, sports courts, a multi-purpose hall and flexible dining spaces, creating opportunities for interaction beyond the classroom. With safeguarding a fundamental priority, the planning and organisation of the campus carefully considers movement, visibility and separation of spaces to create a secure environment in which students can learn, connect and thrive.
